Assistant Professor Ayşe Çetinel has been awarded the Doctoral Dissertation Prize by the EURO Working Group on Retail Operations

We are pleased to announce that Assistant Professor Ayşe Çetinel has been honored with the Doctoral Dissertation Prize by the EURO Working Group on Retail Operations (EWG RO) for her exceptional doctoral research entitled:

"Stores in an Omnichannel World: Understanding Their Role and Enhancing Their Performance."

The accolade was bestowed during this year's EWG Conference organized by IESE Business School.

Dr. Çetinel's dissertation delves into one of the most critical quandaries in contemporary retailing: the ever-changing significance of physical stores in an epoch increasingly defined by digital metamorphosis. As omnichannel tactics become customary across the field, her study presents a timely and perceptive investigation into how enterprises can devise and oversee physical stores to complement and augment digital interfaces.

By amalgamating operational and psychological standpoints, her research augments scholarly understanding and furnishes actionable insights for retail professionals. Enriched by a collaborative endeavor with a prominent consumer electronics retailer in Western Europe, the conclusions drawn from the dissertation bear robust pragmatic relevance.
